Dream Big Princess is a campaign to empower young girls. Since the princess shimmer dolls are influential figures for the girls, the aim was to encourage young girls to eat healthy by having a princess-themed smoothie bowl for each princess. I was required to create five stop motion videos with a different smoothie each.

To achieve this, I first researched real-life aesthetics of each princess. For instance, glass tea sets, Middle Eastern bowls, treasure boxes, etc. I also researched smoothies, conceptualised a design for the bowl, and created a recipe following the Disney brand guidelines. These guideliens meant calculating everything down to every gram and ounce to follow the Disney brand guidelines for calorie intake per bowl.

To make the shoot and approval process smoother, I created art boards of the colour scheme, ingredients, directions, and potential outcome of the smoothie, on Illustrator for easy reference and understanding. Then, I created a deck with all the necessary deliverables, including the art boards, calorie approval, princesses interacting with the bowl, materials needed, and projected costs.

After conceptualising the layout and set up, I purchased the necessary props, including a new backdrop, carpeted grass, sand, table linen and cutleries.
I set up three lights, a tripod for a top-down shot, and a different background for each princess. I created the smoothies step by step, and took shots every step of the way for the stop motion.

When editing the videos, I took many steps to achieve the final edit. I realised there were many things I had to correct, such as the colour, creases, stains of the fruits, and the end frame of how the bowl looked like. Some of the fruits had sunken by then, so it needed to be heavily edited. This spread across all five videos. Having them in PNG sequence, I could clean up certain images individually before compiling them together and then colour correcting them cohesively.

I started by removing the stains and vapour by freezing a frame where everything is perfect. I then took the frozen frame and masked all the parts I needed. I placed the mask of the perfect one over the one with the stains, vapour, and creases. I extended the layer for as long as I needed it and made adjustments to the mask every few frames as it would shift or move.

After that was done, I cleaned and corrected the bowl. I created an adjustment layer and masked it over the bowl, making the necessary adjustments.
Then, I cleaned up the bowl by redrawing the fruits that had sunken halfway or cleaning the edges up. I went to Photoshop and took the last frame of the bowl, correcting it using the tools in Photoshop until it looked perfect. I made sure each fruit was its own layer. I exported each fruit one by one and dropped it into After Effects. This was so that I had the fruits appear separately since it was a stop motion. I masked a layer of the smoothie without toppings and extended that throughout to have a 'blank canvas.' On Photoshop, I added shine and shadow to the fruits to make them more realistic.

After all that, I colour-corrected the entire video, added a legal line, and added the Create Your Story logo. I animated the CYS logo to come in, flip, and then disappear. This applies to the intro and outro of the video.

Finally, I created a 9x16 and a 1x1 still for Instagram story and Instagram post respectively. I also created an article header and mobile header.
