A team of four of us collaborated to create a music video for Mac Miller's Congratulations. The video was intended to be showcased at an end-of-year concert arranged by our cohort to exhibit our end-of-year pieces. Our music video would be accompanied with a student rapping and performing along.

As a team, we developed a storyboard for the video, brainstorming ideas for each line of the lyrics. When we began filming, I took on a dual role of being in front of and behind the camera. I positioned the camera on a tripod, set up the lighting to my preferences, and my teammates helped to adjust the lighting as needed while I was in front of the lens. Otherwise, I directed and filmed it myself, moving back and forth between the camera and the set.

We decided on a frame-by-frame line animation style for the video. We sequenced the shots according to the storyboard and colour-corrected the video. I then took on the task of creating animations for all the scenes that required them. I completed the video on my own, and I found it to be therapeutic after a while.

Finally, we added a scene where a life-sized girl appeared on the screen for the live rapper to interact with on stage during the show. The result was great, and some viewers were pleasantly surprised.
