The Cast Members Bits series is a pre-existing collection of content, featuring Disney staff discussing various movies, products, and seasons. In this instance, the focus was on Wreck It Ralph 2, and employees shared their thoughts on how they would "break the internet." This would go on all our social media channels.

Typically, a team is required to set up for these shoots, with each member assigned a specific role. My responsibility was sound recording, as well as appearing on camera.

As part of the setup, I assisted in preparing the backdrop, tripods, and cameras. I then familiarised myself with the mic and sound transmitters. I had to mic up the first pair, and things ran smoothly from there. I was also featured on camera, so I had to be mic-ed up myself at one point.

To ensure superior sound quality and control noise levels, sound was recorded separately from the video. Each interviewee was mic-ed up, transmitting sound to the device I was holding. This allowed me to control the volume and ambient noise levels to a certain extent.

Shoots of this nature often take an entire day. We set up in the morning and had interviewees arriving throughout the day. One of us would operate the main camera, another might work on the side, while someone else would supervise the live shooting on a laptop. Roles rotated, making each day unique and exciting.
